You should probably take note when booking a wedding with JMP now......just saying, lol.
Many of you know that I've re-located to South Carolina and that I am only going to be in Kentucky at least once a month. This has kinda knocked my weddings down to at least one a month, IN KENTUCKY. I am not able to travel to Kentucky as often as I would like because the drive is about four and a half hours. For May and June, I have already booked my weddings, so those months are not available....UNLESS your wedding starts later than 5:30-6:00 P.M.
No weddings are booked for the rest of the year, so if you're interested in booking a wedding with JMP for 2012, I would get it set as soon as possible.
I hate that I'm not able to book as many weddings in KY as I would like, but things change. Sometimes change is good, sometimes bad....so I'm hoping that this change is good. :)
As far as other sessions, I am not available for the month of May as I am booked knee-high, lol. And I am starting to get booked up for June for the weekend that I will be available in KY.
Please do not let me living in SC discourage all of you. I love all of my clients, near AND far and I will do anything to keep them as happy as possible.
For all regular sessions, if you're interested in a session later on in the year, please feel free to email, message, call or contact me in some way. I usually base my visits in Kentucky on the first person who books something in that month. So whoever books first, that will be the weekend that I'll be available.
Once again, I really do appreciate any and all of you who have been so supportive of me and my family's move. It makes us feel so much better knowing that we have great friends and family backing us up 100% :)
Until my next post....

Something different for JMP
I don't mention too much about my personal life within my business, but this is something that will definitely need to be said. JennMarie Photography is relocating to South Carolina. YES, I will still be doing sessions in Kentucky, BUT they will not be frequent. I know for at least the next few months, I will be up once a month and I plan on being in KY at least once a month, so if you still want to book sessions, you'll have to get them before anyone else does.
For all of my clients who already have sessions or weddings booked, you will not need to cancel because I will be here to do your sessions, so don't worry. I am not letting my family moving keep me from doing sessions at home :)
This was a decision that my husband and I have made to better our lives. Since late November, me, my husband and my daughter have been going through some financial troubles. I won't go into details, but let's just say that we are pretty darn behind on a lot of things. My husband's family lives in South Carolina and they've offered to let us stay with them while he finds a MUCH better paying job and so we can get our lives on track. This isn't a decision that we wanted to make because it was a last resort type thing. But we are honestly tired of suffering to get ahead. This will be much better for my family and that's all I really want. We will be able to provide for ourselves and our daughter SO much better by moving some place where he can get a much better paying job. I will be doing sessions down in South Carolina so I will still be in business.
There's not much else that I can really say, I just wanted to get this news out to all of my fans and followers. I really do appreciate any and all support from all of you guys, you seriously are the best. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. So, thank you. All of you.....I love you.

RTS: January Photo Challenge: Self Portrait (entry)
So, this is my entry for the Rock the Shot January Photo Challenge: Self Portrait!
This was actually an accident and wasn't really gonna be used for anything. But after bringing it up on my computer, I realized that if I tweaked it a little that it could be something worth looking at. I finally uploaded it to my personal account on Facebook and received TONS of feedback JUST on this one photo. I've actually really liked this photo since it's been posted and would love to use this as my entry :)

{ Ian & Jayce } - Christmas times 'a comin'!
Ian & Jayce are quite possibly the cutest little siblings I've had the privilege of working with. Natesha (the mommy!) won a free micro session with me from the JMP black friday sale and she wanted to use it on her boys :) It was super cold that day, but we definitely powered through it.
Natesha had this AWESOME and most adorable idea ever for their session. She was like, "I want to put them in their pj's and have them wearing santa hats for their session. Do you think that would look weird?" <--or something like that, lol. And I just stopped and go, NO!!!! That's a great idea and cute! I seriously could not wait. And it definitely paid off! These two were more than adorable, but smiling just about the whole time. Nothing better if you ask me :)
Ignore the random logo, I'm going through a phase right now where I'm changing my logo and I'm trying to figure out what works best for my style. I'll eventually get it right, haha.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! :)

{ Christmas with the Caldwell's }
I've worked with Tabatha before, but the first time was only with her girls. And they were so easy to photograph and so wonderfully great to work with. This time was for the whole family's Christmas portraits and I loved working with them all on this chilly day.
Also...if anyone EVER wants to know any ideas for dressing up for Christmas family photos, take their outfits for example. They were dressed perfectly; accessories, colors and EVERYTHING. I told Tabatha, "I'm so glad that I don't have to tell you what to wear or suggest how to coordinate everything because you already do that!" And with that, it was much easier catching wonderful photos of this great family.
I can't wait to work you all again in the future as I have earlier this week and earlier this year :)
I know this wasn't as detailed as previous posts, but honestly, that's all I need to say. They are a simple little family, but a beautiful one at that. The only thing I could really comment on was the fact that the father wouldn't take off his hat, but there was no question in that, so I didn't ask, hahaha. He's a hat man, and I know TONS of men like that, including my father. =P
This will probably be my last post before Christmas, so I hope you all have a wonderful and merry Christmas. Here's to hoping that you spend a great time with your family and friends. Just cherishing this time with my family is definitely enough and I couldn't ask for anything more for Christmas :)
Merry Christmas everyone!

Kyle - "I don't wan't a hairdryer!"
The title is very puzzling to those of you who weren't there for his little Christmas session. We done Kyle's session at his home near all of his presents, tree, stockings and with his dear mommy. Sara, Kyle's mom didn't want him out in the cold, so we chose to do in their apartment. He is SUCH a sweet & adorable little boy. Did I mention he was adorable? GAH! I wish I could just take him home with me to take photos of him and pinch his cheeks off. Then I would send him back home, haha! (Just kidding!)
In all seriousness, this is the second session that I've done with Sara & Kyle and I loved working with them both. Kyle's a little fiesty, as in he can't sit still in one spot for no longer than 30 seconds, haha. But he's a little kid, and I expected that from him. Even chasing him around his living room a bit, it was all fun. He is such a sweet little boy and his mommy doesn't help any. She's just as sweet and wonderful as he is :)
And as far as the title goes? Sara told me that he liked unwrapping presents, whether or not they were for him, lol. So she said some gifts under her tree that didn't have names on them (for Christmas parties she was going to this year) and she let him open a few of them. All of them were these cheetah (or zebra, I could be wrong) print hairdryers and Kyle thought they were something for him, each and every single time. So whenever he would unwrap the present enough to see what it was, he would be sitting there saying, "A hairdryer? I don't want a hairdryer!" Haha....it was too cute for words. He's such a doll, if you can't tell already =P
