Catch up!

So, I have been M.I.A. for quite a while now, so I feel it mandatory that I update this blog and continue to do so!  I feel you all should know what I've been up to this fall, so here are some shots from sessions that I've done!  I'll put a few sentences on each session just to be fair =P Try not have a heart attack, lol. (Not in any particular order)

These three couples were all fun to work with.  Catherine & Dustin (top, left), Alisha & Montana (right), and Kristian & Steven (bottom, left) were the most fun couples' session that I've had in a while.

Catherine & Dustin were just full of laughter during this whole session, which made it that much better and easier (on me).  This was my first ACTUAL fall session.  Where the leaves had fallen for maybe a week and they were still yellow, red and orange.  Perfect fall session for me :)  I thought we had a great time working together and I hope we can again in the future :)

Alisha & Montana, oh Lordy, what can I say?  I've been friends with Alisha for quite a while now and knowing her personality, this shoot was so much fun.  Despite the fact that it was probably too cloudy for my needs AND it was trying to rain, it was a success.  Being a young couple, these two just felt right for each other and it's not very often you can say such things.

Kristian & Steven are the sweetest looking couple that I've ever met.  For this session they brought their dogs and it was totally unexpected on my part, haha.  Kristian just recently found out that her oldest dog has cancer and knowing that, she wanted to savor up the time with him with some timeless photos :)  Sweet, if you ask me :)  But this couple, I loved working with them so much.  You can just feel the love between the two whenever they are together.  They were both so kind to me and that's all that I could ever ask for in clients.  I can't wait to work with you both again! :)

These three weddings were so distinctively different and I loved it all so much.  Weddings are like, super exciting for me...don't really know why.  I guess it's because you NEVER know what will happen and each and every moment is a candid one.  And those are the absolute best shots in my eyes.  Whenever the couples, family, or whoever you are shooting is not expecting anything at all and you just get it...in a photo.

Crystal & Delbert's (top left) wedding was one that I will not ever forget.  It was so simply laid out, but elegant at the same time.  They had a string trio playing while people were arriving and during the ceremony.  I was literally in HEAVEN.  Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and their love together was very warming.  If you got to look at them during their first dance like I got to, then you'd understand.  It was like I was not even there and nobody was watching them.  So loving.  I wish them both the best in their marriage and in life :)

Travis & Karmen (bottom, left):  This couple was a BLAST to work with.  One of the best weddings I've done, to date.  This fun and loving couple literally kept me on my toes throughout the whole wedding.  Preparation to reception, it was such fun, all day long.  I met them both separately on the day of the wedding and seeing them apart was one thing, but once he laid eyes on her during the ceremony, it was like it was a match made in heaven.  They both had the most loving looks during the whole ceremony, that it would probably make you cry.  I hope that I get to work with them and their son (which, by the way, is the most adorable little man EVER!) again, I loved every minute of it :)

Tyler & Ashley are such a down to earth couple.  They have been together for years, it seems like and they are perfect for each other.  I've known both of them for the longest time and working with them for their wedding was a piece of cake...literally. Follow the link to my facebook page with their photos and you'll see what I mean, haha.  I wish you both the best of luck, but I'm sure you don't even need it :)

Just a few quick things about each family :)

Patrick, Heather & Damon (top, left) - This little family is just too adorable.  This was a part of Patrick & Heather's wedding package (instead of an engagement session) and it was so worth it.  Little Damon was (and still is!) and little cutie pie :)

The Lunsford family (middle left)- Louise and her family just seemed like they knew what life was all about....and still do.  I didn't post a photo of their entire family because I felt like the kids just made the whole session.  I really liked working with them.  They all liked being in front of the camera and didn't shy away from it at all. When kids are like that, it's really easy to get comfortable around them and photograph them :)

The Oakley & Anderson family (Oakley, bottom, left) (Anderson bottom, far right) - This family and another, was rather interesting to work with because they were connected.  Marie contacted me first for a session and then Tammy (photo on the far right, bottom) did, both wanting family sessions.  I later found out that Tammy is Marie's husband's ex-wife!  Haha!  But they are all extremely nice people, and towards each other and I loved working with them all.  The kids in both families were so much fun to work with.  They all have this sense of humor that a photographer like myself loves to see.  Both beautiful families were great and I would love to work with them again in the future :)

The Sullivan Family - I have a special attachment to this family because they ARE my family.  Jessica is my sister and as you can tell, the kids are my niece and nephew and Michael is my brother-in-law.  I've worked with them many times and this one happens to be my favorite so far :)  I love them all with all of my heart, but photographing them just adds to it =P

And lastly, but certainly not least, The Bowman Family (top, right) - This family was great to work with.  Jessalynn is a photographer herself (check her out, she's AWESOME! I'll include a link at the bottom of this post) and her asking me to do her family portraits was the biggest compliment I could have ever received thus far!  And they were totally worth it.  Every minute of the session was so much fun and was so easy for me because she understands what I'm going through on a technical and personal level.  And because of that, the session went great.  They are such a caring and loving family and little Ethan is a sweetie pie!  I can't wait to work with them again in the future. :)

Halloween Minis!  I only had a few of these, but ones I done were fun to do.  Seeing the kiddies in their costumes was enough for me =P

Little miss Mackenzie (top, left) is such a cutie.  I've worked with her in the past and my, oh, my has she grown!  Seeing her in this little cat outfit was just so adorable to see. This little lady is so smart and adorable and was easy to photograph.  Not easy to keep up with, but what small child sits still?  I mean....really? lol.

Kyra (top, right) just wanted candy, haha.  I brought this big bucket full of candy and she was going through it on the ground just throwing pieces of candy that she wanted out of the bucket, haha.  She was also dressed up as a cat, as you can tell, and a cute one at that.  I've also worked with her in the past as well, but it's been a while...probably a year! lol.  Her and Mackenzie are around the same age, so you can image running after her with a camera as well, haha :)

Bentley is just a little man!  We couldn't really do too much because he's only two months old, but what shots I did get, were adorable :)  He was constantly gazing up at the trees and at the sky, so I felt that the photo I chose was appropriate, haha.  Get this!  We started shooting around 6:30 and it was broad daylight...twenty minutes later, it was pitch black dark outside!  I was so baffled as to how that happened, but oh well.  That cut our session very short and I didn't get any shots with the little dude in his costume :(  But I made up for it with the mom, so all is well :)

Kyle is the biggest sweetheart I've ever met.  I wish I could take him home with me, but his mommy probably wouldn't allow it, haha.  You may not know it, but Kyle has a heart condition and it's so severe that he has to have a heart transplant in January.  So, if you will, please pray for Kyle and his mommy.  I know this isn't related to the session, but I felt that it should be expressed here.  Just pray that everything goes well with him and during his healing time.  But anyway, I've got another session with Kyle this coming weekend in their home for Christmas and I can't wait for it.  So great spending time with him and Sara (his mommy) :)

Hannah & Madison are sisters.  I only have Hannah pictured because the photos were mostly of her and I adore this photo of her :)  This wasn't really a Halloween Mini, but I done it on the same day as those, so therefore, it's pictured anyway, haha.  They are both really sweet, whether or not their aunt Kristian thinks so or not, haha.  And keeping up with Hannah was a JOB, lol.  All she wanted to do was run, run, run.  I think I could've lost ten pounds that day! Haha.

All of these sessions and people have a special place in my heart and I love them all dearly!  Thank you all for being my wonderful clients and I hope I work with all of you again in the future!
